The United Collegium of Customs Services of the EAEU countries held a meeting where key aspects of cooperation and experience exchange were discussed. The head of the State Customs Service, Almaz Saliev, emphasized the importance of this platform for finding agreed solutions.

The agenda included issues related to improving customs administration and increasing the efficiency of services.

Particular attention will be paid to the implementation of unified standards for filling out and correcting customs declarations, as well as increasing the transparency and predictability of procedures. Aspects of law enforcement practice related to the declaration of customs value and classification of goods will also be considered.

Saliev added that the focus will be on developing customs transit, including the introduction of new methods for transporting goods, monitoring temporarily imported vehicles, and improving cargo escort mechanisms.

Participants will also discuss the unification of approaches to risk management, the application of cost indicators, and the formation of risk profiles, which will enhance control accuracy and minimize administrative barriers.

An exchange of experience in the field of digitalization is also planned, which includes the development of information systems and electronic declaration.

As Saliev noted, this is an important step towards accelerating procedures, improving interaction between customs services, and increasing overall efficiency.

During the meeting, current issues of goods classification will be addressed, including consumer goods, industrial raw materials, and high-tech equipment.

Uniformity in approaches to goods classification, as emphasized, directly affects the accuracy of customs payment collection and reduces the number of disputed situations.

All proposed measures are aimed at strengthening the economic security of EAEU countries, supporting legitimate trade, and creating favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activities.

In conclusion, Saliev expressed confidence that the results of the meeting would lead to practical solutions that would contribute to the further development of integration processes and enhance the efficiency of customs services.
