At the meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the EAEU countries, Jandos Dyusenbiev, Chairman of the Committee for State Revenues of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation and developing unified standards in customs administration.
He drew attention to the wide range of issues discussed on the agenda, including the implementation of previously adopted decisions, classification of goods, development of law enforcement practices, as well as optimization of transit procedures and risk management.
Significant attention at the meeting was paid to issues of information interaction in the context of controlling transit shipments.
Dyusenbiev noted that it is extremely important for the customs services of the union countries to receive complete information about the future administration of goods, including data on their final declaration.
“Such an approach will allow for a comprehensive analysis of the entire chain of goods movement, improve the quality of control, and reduce the risks of violations,” he added.
The head of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan also proposed to consider the development of information exchange as one of the key areas of joint work.
In addition, he initiated an analysis of the impact of the proposed control measures on honest business. In this regard, he suggested that the working group of the countries prepare recommendations for simplifying procedures and optimizing business processes.
Dyusenbiev expressed confidence that the measures being taken could enhance the effectiveness of combating violations in the transit sector and create more comfortable conditions for participants in foreign economic activities.
