Sydyrym Azhumidinova, a resident of the village of San-Tash (farm No. 3) in the Tyup district, is currently working as a teacher at the J. Asylbaev School.

She shared with Turmush details about her career, experience working abroad, and the significance of her name.

Sydyrym was born in 1993 in the village of 8-Mart in the Naryn region, being the second of five children in her family. In 2011, she graduated from the M. Osmonov School and enrolled in the Naryn State University in the Faculty of English Language and Literature, which she completed in 2015, earning a bachelor's degree.

She began her professional journey at the Kulanak Professional Lyceum, where she worked for about three years as a foreign language teacher. She also taught at School No. 32 in Bishkek, but in 2018, facing low income, she went to Dubai (UAE) for work. Unfortunately, the climate turned out to be unsuitable for her health, and after four months, she returned home. After that, she continued teaching at a school in the village of Tash-Bulak for another year.

In 2020, Azhumidinova moved to Moscow, where she spent three years working at a factory. It was there that she met her future husband, who also received a pedagogical education. They quickly found common ground, started a family, and returned to Kyrgyzstan, choosing the village of San-Tash as their place of residence. Currently, her husband teaches Kyrgyz language and literature, while Sydyrym teaches Russian language and literature at the J. Asylbaev School. The couple has two children — a son and a daughter.

Sydyrym's unusual name piques the interest of those around her, and she happily shares its origin. “People always ask what my name means. I sometimes joke that it’s just a light breeze touching the skin. But once I asked my father, and he told me that in the year I was born, there was a famous stallion named Sydyrym in the village of Kutur-Ak-Talaa, known far beyond its district. My father, passionate about horses, decided to give me this name as a symbol of luck and an open path,” she shares.

Currently, Sydyrym Azhumidinova continues her education at the Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov, studying “Teacher of Russian Language and Literature.”

Sydyrym notes that choosing the teaching profession was a conscious step in her life. “Studying is like digging a well with a needle. I constantly strive for new knowledge and inspiration in my work. My husband always supports me. Although I specialize in foreign language, from the 2024–2025 academic year, I intend to study Russian language and literature part-time. I actively participate in competitions: last year I spent a week in Russia for experience exchange, and this year I took first place in a competition among graduate students from the CIS and visited Astana. In the future, I plan to continue improving and raising a new generation,” adds the teacher.
