As a result of the drone attack in Novorossiysk, an oil depot at the "Sheshcharis" transshipment complex was damaged. The city's mayor, Andrey Kravchenko, reported that a state of emergency was declared in Novorossiysk to address the aftermath of the attack.

As a result of drone debris falling on the oil depot, a fire broke out, which has since been extinguished. "Coastal structures" were also damaged. In the port of Novorossiysk, debris from the drones caused damage to one of the civilian vessels, resulting in three crew members being hospitalized.

Some residential buildings in Novorossiysk were also affected by the drone attack. In one apartment on the fourth floor, drone debris entered inside, while several other apartments had broken windows. One man was injured and hospitalized. According to the operational headquarters, five-story, 15-story, and 16-story buildings were also damaged, but there were no casualties there.

The "Sheshcharis" transshipment complex, managed by the company "Transneft," is one of the largest facilities for the transshipment of oil and petroleum products in southern Russia. It is designed for the reception, storage, and shipment of oil and petroleum products for both export and supplying factories in the Krasnodar region.

According to Energy monitor data, Kazakh exporters ship more than 6 million tons of oil annually through the infrastructure of this complex, using two main routes: the Atyrau — Samara — Novorossiysk oil pipeline and the Makhachkala – Novorossiysk oil pipeline.
