
According to the Ministry of Defense, 42 drones were shot down in the Kaluga region, 40 in Moscow, 32 in Tula, 10 in Kursk, seven in the Oryol region, four each in Rostov and Voronezh regions, two each in Orenburg and Tambov regions, and one each in Belgorod, Lipetsk, and Samara regions.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that since the evening of October 26, Russian air defense forces have shot down 34 drones attempting to approach the capital. In his Telegram channel, he published information about the first intercepted drone at 5:41 PM Moscow time and the last one at 3:47 AM. "Emergency services specialists are working at the crash sites," he added in each post. However, the mayor did not provide any data on whether there were damages on the ground or any casualties.
During the night, two Moscow airports—Domodedovo and Zhukovsky—temporarily suspended operations, but by morning the restrictions were lifted. Airports in other regions also affected by the attacks experienced temporary closures.
The Telegram channel Astra reports, citing its subscribers, that explosions occurred in New Moscow, in the Kommunarka area, during the drone attacks, after which smoke appeared in the forested area.
