A meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian and Northern European countries took place in Vienna.

During the event, representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland, and Sweden discussed numerous issues related to practical cooperation in areas such as economy, ecology, transport, logistics, education, and innovation. Attention was also drawn to strengthening regional cooperation.

In his speech, Ermek Kosherbaev noted that cooperation in Central Asia is deepening and emphasized the importance of developing mutually beneficial relations with Northern Europe at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to continue developing dialogue between Central Asia and Northern Europe, highlighting the importance of regular communication and experience exchange on matters of common interest. Kazakhstan expressed its readiness to strengthen partnerships, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to ensure sustainable development and stability within the framework of interregional cooperation.

On the sidelines of the OSCE Foreign Ministers' meeting, Kosherbaev held a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of key institutions of the organization.

The Minister met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, ODIHR Director Maria Telalian, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Désir, and the High Commissioner on National Minorities Károly Bóka.

In negotiations with the OSCE Secretary General, the Minister emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation with the organization and noted that the development of interaction within the framework of the OSCE is a priority direction of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. They discussed issues related to regional security and deepening practical cooperation in political-military, economic-ecological, and humanitarian aspects.

During the conversation with the High Commissioner on National Minorities, Kosherbaev highlighted Kazakhstan's unique experience in ensuring interethnic harmony, stating: "A diverse society is our strength. Ethnic diversity is a strategic advantage for us."

With Maria Telalian and Harlem Désir, issues of democratic development, the rule of law, media freedom, human rights protection, and support for civil society institutions were discussed.

OSCE representatives highly appreciated Kazakhstan's constructive contribution and expressed interest in expanding cooperation on relevant issues, including human rights and inclusive social processes.

As a result of the meetings, the parties confirmed their readiness to maintain regular dialogue and strengthen partnerships within the OSCE agenda.
