Residents of Buri Ram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani have been advised to seek safe shelter due to the potential escalation of the conflict.
The history of clashes at the border between Thailand and Cambodia is long-standing and is linked to territorial disputes, including around ancient temples.
