Mongolian Riders to Participate in the Dakar Rally 2026

These athletes are ready to showcase their skills in challenging terrain. On the first day of the race, participants had to cover a distance of 527 kilometers, of which 305 kilometers were on a special section that included rocky, sandy, and dirt terrain. At this stage, 70% of the route was gravel, 16% was sandy, 8% was rocky, and 4% was through sand dunes.

Khalyunbold Erdenebileg achieved a commendable result, finishing 33rd out of 120 participants and 20th in the "Rally 2" category, completing the special section in 3 hours, 51 minutes, and 45 seconds.

Another Mongolian racer, Mörön Purevdorj, finished in 50th place overall and 35th in the "Rally 2" category.

On the second day, January 5, the race will continue its journey deeper into the Arabian Peninsula, heading towards the bivouac in Al-Ula.
