According to Shoigu, who arrived in China on Sunday for talks with the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the leaders of both countries maintain strong friendly ties and actively interact with each other.
“The dialogue between the heads of our states has become very active, so it is natural that communication will continue regularly this year,” he noted in a comment distributed by the press service of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
Additionally, Shoigu emphasized that discussions with Wang Yi were substantial. The parties reviewed the schedule of upcoming contacts, including meetings at the highest leadership level.
The current situation in various regions of the world was also discussed at the meeting, which is related to the interests of both Moscow and Beijing, the press service representatives reported.
