The 2029 Winter Asian Games will be held in Almaty. This was announced on Monday by the Olympic Council of Asia, reports the Xinhua agency.
The signing of the official document is scheduled for February 5 in Milan.
It was previously planned that the 2029 Winter Asian Games would take place in Saudi Arabia; however, in January, the country's Olympic and Paralympic committees, along with the OCA, announced the postponement of the tournament indefinitely.
It should be noted that there have been no official comments from Kazakhstan regarding the hosting of the 2029 Asian Games in Almaty so far.
