As reported by MiddleAsianNews, we are pleased to present the uniform that the Mongolian team will wear at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina.
A team of designers and tailors from Goyol Cashmere has created unique clothing for the athletes.
This collection not only combines traditional elements with modern trends; it aims to reinterpret the ancient Mongolian culture of clothing, emphasizing its significance in our heritage and showcasing it on the global stage.
Inspired by the clothing style of the Great Mongol Empire of the 13th-15th centuries, the designs retain key elements of traditional design, such as functional slits on the deel, which provide freedom of movement, high collars for protection against the elements, and closed fronts symbolizing warmth and unity. Elegant Mongolian cashmere is trimmed with silk borders featuring traditional embroidery of the horn-ugalz motifs, giving the garments a ceremonial appearance.

By creating ceremonial deels from Mongolian cashmere, which has traditionally been used by our nomadic ancestors for protection against the cold, the designers pay tribute to our culture and history. Additionally, they have developed casual outfits made from high-quality cashmere, inspired by ski sweaters, with elements referencing the nomadic lifestyle and yurts.
These creations demonstrate the resilience, wisdom, and warrior spirit of the Mongols, who have endured the harsh winters of Central Asia for millennia, representing them on the global sports stage.
