The UUHAI group, representing Mongolian metal rock, has signed its first international contract with the renowned label Napalm Records. Their new album "Uuhai" will be released on November 6, 2025.

👀 Who are UUHAI?

UUHAI consists of seven members, and their music is a blend of world rock and traditional Mongolian cultural elements, such as throat singing (khoomei), long songs, and playing the morin khuur (Mongolian fiddle with a horse's head), creating a unique folk-metal style.

🆕 The debut album will be released on January 9

After their first single "Khar Khulz" went viral, gathering 7.2 million views on YouTube, UUHAI is preparing for the release of their debut album "Human Herds," scheduled for January 9, 2026. The title track "Uuhai" will be the first single and will combine traditional Mongolian melodies with dynamic rock metal.

🎚️ In 2026, UUHAI will also hold 31 concerts in nine European countries, participating in the Motocular festival and giving fans the opportunity to see their live performances.

🤴 Mongolian folk-metal-rock legends

The band The HU, founded in 2016, has become a symbol of Mongolian metal rock, promoting the genre of Hunnu rock, which combines traditional instruments with heavy metal and attracts listeners worldwide. Currently, The HU has 1.3 million followers on Spotify and 1.7 million on YouTube, creating excellent conditions for further growth of the Mongolian rock-metal scene, including bands like UUHAI.

Mongolian metal rock has finally begun to gain worldwide recognition. The fusion of khoomei and heavy metal has become the hallmark of bands like The HU and UUHAI and may open doors for new Mongolian artists on the international stage.

The label "Napalm Records," founded in 1992 by Markus Riedler in Eisenstadt, specializes in underground metal and gothic music. They have their own publishing house "Iron Avantgarde Publishing," and currently represent a variety of genres, including black metal, folk metal, and symphonic metal.

Initially, Napalm worked with black metal bands such as Abigor and Summoning, as well as folk metal projects like Falkenbach and Vintersorg. Over time, the label expanded its catalog, adding bands from various subgenres, including gothic metal and metalcore, as well as stoner rock groups like Monster Magnet and Karma to Burn.

In November 2020, Napalm acquired the German label SPV GmbH.
