During this conference organized by the U.S. Department of State, issues related to critical minerals were discussed. A total of 55 delegations participated, including Mongolia, as reported by MiddleAsianNews.

The Department of State had previously announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio plans to host foreign delegations in Washington to discuss joint efforts to strengthen and diversify supply chains for critical minerals.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Batsetsgeg Batmunkh, also participated in this important meeting, where measures to enhance economic and national security through collaborative work on the resilience of critical mineral supply chains were discussed.

The meeting was attended by representatives from leading mineral resource producing and consuming countries, who sought to establish mutual understanding and confirm their readiness to cooperate to ensure stable and reliable supplies of key minerals necessary for economic growth and high technologies.

The uniqueness of this international ministerial meeting lies in its emphasis on developing partnerships in the critical minerals sector, including interaction between private sectors.

The main goal of the event was to accelerate cooperation that ensures access to essential components needed for technological innovations, economic strength, and national security.

It was previously reported that the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia received approval for a Category 1 (CAT 1) rating from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States. This development will also simplify the export of rare earth oxides and other critical minerals, opening up access for Mongolia to global markets and contributing to the creation of more resilient supply chains.
