A unique bridge measuring over 500 meters in length, 204 meters in width, and about 80 meters in height was carefully demolished as a result of a series of controlled explosions. A recording of the explosion was published in NL.

Local residents dubbed it the "lying Eiffel Tower" in Brandenburg, comparing it to the famous landmark in Paris.

This transport mechanism served to connect the two banks of the future canal and, during its operation, moved about 3.5 billion cubic meters of soil.

The reason for the bridge's demolition was its economic impracticality.
