A resident of Aubervilliers, a northeastern suburb of Paris, has been arrested after a month of surveillance. He has been charged with robbery and participation in a criminal conspiracy.

In addition to him, among the detainees are also two men aged 38 and 39, as well as two women aged 31 and 40. However, the details of the charges against them remain unclear for now. Paris prosecutor Laure Beccu confirmed these facts.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of November, four more suspects were arrested, three of whom also apparently participated in the robbery.

Thus, the total number of detainees now stands at eight, while the stolen valuables have still not been found.

The robbery of the Louvre occurred on October 19, at a time when the museum had already opened for visitors. The robbers managed to take nine items from the imperial collection, including jewelry belonging to Napoleon and his wife Josephine. During their escape, they dropped the crown of Empress Eugenie, adorned with diamonds and emeralds. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at 88 million euros.
