According to Lavless, among those detained are a 32-year-old Black British man and a 35-year-old man of Caribbean descent. He noted that there is currently no reason to believe that the incident was related to terrorism, and it is still too early to draw any conclusions about the motives.
Details of the attack, which occurred on the evening of November 1, were also provided by the police: 10 people were taken to the hospital, and later another victim sought medical help on their own. Of the nine people who were initially in critical condition, four have already been discharged, while two remain in serious condition.
Witnesses reported that at the time of the attack, a man in black was walking through the carriage, stabbing passengers. People fell on top of each other in panic, trying to escape from the attacker.
