As a result of the investigation into the Louvre robbery, two individuals have been detained. According to French media, one of them was arrested at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport around 10 PM on Saturday while attempting to leave the country by plane. The second suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter in the suburbs of Paris.
It is reported that the detainees are residents of Saint-Denis, one of the suburbs of Paris. They had previously attracted police attention, but details about them have not yet been disclosed.

Recall that the robbery took place early in the morning on October 19.

The criminals stole nine pieces of 19th-century jewelry, including the crown of Empress Eugenie. During their escape, they dropped and damaged this artifact, but it has been recovered. The list of stolen items also includes a necklace made of emeralds and diamonds, gifted by Napoleon to his wife Empress Marie-Louise, a diadem that belonged to Empress Eugenie and adorned with nearly two thousand diamonds, as well as a necklace that belonged to the last Queen of France, Marie Amelie, featuring eight sapphires and 631 diamonds.
