During the investigation, it was established that the robbers had prior secret information about the museum's security system, which allowed them to plan their entry. According to The Telegraph, "digital evidence" confirms the involvement of a security guard in the crime.

Paris prosecutor Laetitia Bekko confirmed that the police are currently considering the possibility of assistance from a Louvre employee. "We are examining various versions. The option of complicity within the museum will be subjected to detailed analysis alongside other possibilities," she noted.

The theft occurred on October 19, when during working hours, masked criminals broke into the Louvre, stealing nine items from the imperial collection, including jewelry belonging to Napoleon and his wife Josephine. The damage from the theft is estimated at 88 million euros.

A week after the incident, French media reported the detention of two of the four suspects in the theft. One of them was caught at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport while attempting to fly to Algeria, and the second was detained in the Seine-Saint-Denis area. The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the information about the arrests. Laetitia Bekko also added that the police were able to track the movements of the criminals thanks to video surveillance, which recorded them leaving on two scooters.
