Geshe Battsengel serves as the senior administrative member of the monastery and heads the public relations and media department at Gandan Tegchinlin.

Our brothers and sisters from the monastery were happy to share insights about Buddhist teachings that inspire people to lead a disciplined, compassionate life and strive for improvement. These teachings include the importance of right thoughts and actions, the development of humility, and the practice of mindfulness, noted Neil L. Andersen.

“Understanding that good deeds bring benefits while evil deeds cause harm, we can see a reflection of our faith in this, which asserts that ‘by their fruits ye shall know them’ (Matthew 7:20). We value the common values we share. Together, we emphasize the importance of religious freedom in Mongolia and continue to deepen the understanding of our beliefs. Let us build bridges of faith and friendship around the world,” added Neil L. Andersen.

Neil Linden Andersen, born on August 9, 1951, is an American religious leader and former businessman, as well as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was ordained as an apostle on April 4, 2009, at the Church's General Conference. At the time of his appointment to the Quorum, he had held high positions in the leadership of the LDS Church since 1993, including serving in the Presidency of the Quorum of the Seventy from 2005 to 2009. Today, he is the eighth most senior apostle in the Church.

Andersen was born in Logan, Utah, and spent his childhood near Pocatello, Idaho. In his youth, he served as a missionary for the LDS Church in France. After completing his mission, he earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1975 and was elected vice president of the student council. In 1977, he completed his master's degree at Harvard Business School. He later worked in Tampa, Florida, as a vice president at Morton Plant Health System and also served as the president of a stake in the LDS Church.
