
Macron emphasized that when there is a clear act of aggression, Europe has no reason to yield or seek compromise. “We tried to follow this strategy for several months, but it did not prove effective,” he noted, adding that he always maintains a respectful and predictable approach in communicating with U.S. President Donald Trump, but it should not be perceived as a weakness.
According to him, the current U.S. administration demonstrates openly anti-European sentiments, shows contempt for the European Union, and seeks to divide it.
“On one hand, we are facing Chinese economic pressure, and on the other, constant instability due to actions from the American side. These two crises pose a serious challenge for Europe. When a sense of relief appears after the acute phase of a crisis, one must not lose vigilance, thinking that all difficulties are behind. This is not the case, as instability persists,” Macron concluded.
