
As part of this epidemic, 3,018 cases of influenza have also been identified, of which 2,958 are attributed to the A (H3N2) virus, 53 cases are associated with the A (H1N1) virus, and seven cases are related to the influenza B virus. According to the Ministry of Health, 2,272,739 people have already been vaccinated against influenza, which constitutes 11.13% of the total population of the country and aligns with the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
The Ministry of Health informs that the educational process in educational institutions continues as usual, as the level of illness does not exceed 20% of the total number of students in the class.
However, there is an increase in cases of measles in the country.
"Infections have been registered in 19 regions, except for Shymkent. 80% of those infected are unvaccinated individuals, with 58% of children not vaccinated due to parental refusal," the Ministry of Health noted, without providing updated statistics.
As of February 5, 1,951 cases of measles have been registered in Kazakhstan for January 2026, with the highest number of cases in Astana, Almaty, as well as in the Zhambyl and Almaty regions.
