Iran and Russia held joint naval exercises

As part of the exercises, Iranian and Russian sailors focused on improving coordination of actions and exchanging military experience. Rear Admiral of the Iranian Navy Hassan Maghsoudlu noted that the maneuvers are aimed at strengthening security and developing sustainable cooperation in the maritime sphere between the two countries.

Additionally, before the start of the joint exercises, Iran conducted separate maneuvers during which five missiles were successfully launched towards the Strait of Hormuz.

The exercises took place against the backdrop of statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who previously set a deadline of 10-15 days for Iran to reach an agreement with the United States. He emphasized that this time is critical for reaching agreements.
