The Russian authorities named the risks of attracting labor migrants from Afghanistan

Russia's special representative for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, noted in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency that there is a likelihood of radicalized individuals among the migrants, which creates additional risks.

Earlier, the Afghan ambassador to Russia, Hassan Gul Hassan, informed RIA Novosti that Kabul is negotiating with the Russian authorities about the possibility of attracting Afghan labor migrants for work in agriculture; however, no specific agreements have been reached at this time.

Kabulov emphasized: "We need filters and a regulatory system. We cannot simply open the doors for a large number of people whom we cannot control. At the moment, there is no guarantee or effective mechanism." This statement was made in response to questions about the possibilities of attracting labor migrants from Afghanistan to Russia.
