In his message on the social network Truth Social, Trump claims that the Supreme Court's decision, on the contrary, opens up new opportunities for him. He emphasized that he will now be able to use trade licenses and other measures to increase pressure on foreign countries.

The president stated: "Now I can use licenses to implement absolutely 'horrible' measures against foreign states."

According to him, he does not need congressional approval to impose tariffs, as he believes the necessary authority has already been granted and confirmed by the court ruling.

Moreover, he threatened to increase tariffs for those countries that attempt to take advantage of the Supreme Court ruling, which was deemed illegal concerning previous restrictions.

It should be noted that the U.S. Supreme Court previously ruled that the law cited by the Trump administration when imposing tariffs does not grant the president such powers, as these rights belong to Congress according to the Constitution.

Trump called this decision a "disgrace" and mentioned that he has a backup plan, adding that tariffs related to national security will remain in effect. He also announced the introduction of basic tariffs of 10% for all countries and then stated that these tariffs would be raised to 15%.

These measures will take effect on February 25 and will last for 150 days.
