
The Tasnim agency reports the cancellation of the farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed. The event was scheduled to take place on March 4 and last for three days, but due to the large number of people wishing to participate, the safety of the event was compromised.
The head of the Coordination Council for Islamic Propaganda in Tehran, Seyed Mohsen Mahmoudi, stated that a new time for the ceremony will be announced in the coming days. He noted that "due to the requests for participation and the need to create comfortable conditions for all attendees, it was decided to postpone the event to a more suitable time."
On February 28, Israel and the United States struck Iran, resulting in the death of the 86-year-old supreme leader of the country, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to U.S. President Donald Trump. On March 1, Iran officially confirmed his death, after which a 40-day mourning period was declared in the country.
