During a press interaction, one of the journalists asked whether Whitcuff had approached Moscow with a request "not to share information about military facilities and other support with Iran."
“I was extremely categorical on this issue,” he replied.
When asked if he believed such assistance was indeed being provided, Whitcuff expressed hope that it was not.
Trump, for his part, added that he "has no reason to believe this is true."
“If this is indeed the case, then the Russian side is not doing its job very well, as Iran is facing serious difficulties,” the president noted.
