Trump also noted that Israel is behind a possible attack on "South Pars," adding that the U.S. was not aware of any specific plans for an attack, and that Qatar had nothing to do with them. The U.S. President emphasized that Iran was unaware of the intentions and "unjustifiably" attacked part of the Qatari liquefied natural gas plant.

“If Iran dares to attack innocent Qatar, Israel will take no action against this important field,” Trump said.

On March 18, the Tasnim agency reported that Israel and the U.S. attacked Iranian facilities in the oil and gas sector located in "Eseluyeh" and "South Pars." A representative of the Iranian Armed Forces stated that Tehran intends to destroy energy infrastructure belonging to the U.S. and Israel in response to strikes on its territory.

In response to these events, Iran attacked a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) production center in Ras Laffan, Qatar. As a result, QatarEnergy's facility was affected.

Amid the escalation of the situation, the foreign ministers of twelve Arab and Islamic countries condemned the Iranian strikes on civilian infrastructure, demanding that Tehran immediately cease the attacks.
