Shutdown in the USA. More than 1,400 flights canceled at airports across the country
On November 8, more than 1,400 domestic and international flights in the USA were canceled due to an instruction for airlines to reduce their operations amid a temporary suspension of the federal government's work. This was reported by the BBC.
According to data from FlightAware, there were about 6,000 flight delays recorded, and on November 7, there were over 7,000 delays.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had previously announced a 10% reduction in capacity at 40 of the country's largest airports, as air traffic controllers, working without pay during the shutdown, report their fatigue.

The conflict between Republicans and Democrats continues, as they are unable to reach an agreement to resolve the current deadlock. The shutdown, which began on October 1, has become the longest in the country's history.

Since midnight on October 1, government funding in the USA has been halted, as Republicans and Democrats could not agree on budgetary issues, leading to a partial shutdown of the federal government.

The term "shutdown" refers to "closure" or "stoppage." In a general sense, it can refer to the complete or partial cessation of various systems and processes, including transportation and production, especially in times of crisis.

In a political context, a shutdown indicates a temporary suspension of the government's and its ministries' operations, which occurs due to the inability to reach consensus among Congress members regarding the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
