History

The airline "Kyrgyzstan" began its operations in the air transportation market in 2001.

On September 13, 2001, the open joint-stock company "Airline Altyn Air" was established, which is a subsidiary of the state enterprise OJSC "Kyrgyzaltyn".

Subsequently, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the establishment of the Airline 'Kyrgyzstan'" dated November 14, 2005, and the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated January 11, 2006, "On the establishment of the open joint-stock company 'Airline Kyrgyzstan'" aimed at implementing urgent measures to provide state support to the aviation industry, fulfilling the state order for air transportation services for the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic, and carrying out commercial passenger transportation on domestic and international routes, OJSC "Airline Kyrgyzstan" was created.

Today, the Airline "Kyrgyzstan" is the largest aviation company in Kyrgyzstan, performing regular and irregular flights both within the republic and to near and far abroad. In addition, the airline has a three-digit code 138 and a two-letter ICAO code – QH.

The Airline "Kyrgyzstan" collaborates with more than 20 well-known airlines worldwide, as well as with a number of diverse international organizations.

To improve and automate the services provided, the Airline "Kyrgyzstan" was the first to switch to electronic ticket sales, as well as electronic settlements, and to an electronic check-in system at destination airports. For example, the airline's partners include: the settlement company "Sofi", CJSC "Ring", "Tais", "IATVT", and airports: "Manas", Domodedovo, Yemelyanovo, Pulkovo, Tolmachevo, Koltsovo, Urumqi, Tashkent, Dushanbe, Khujand, Dubai DNATA.

In order to comply with global standards and adhere to international safety norms and service levels, in 2011, the entire fleet of Soviet-made aircraft was retired, and to replace them for regular flights, Boeing 737-400 and 737-500 aircraft were acquired. Currently, negotiations are underway with suppliers to attract additional Western-made aircraft under leasing conditions that meet all technical and economic requirements.

At present, 13 pilots are authorized to fly Boeing aircraft, including 6 captains and 7 first officers. 35 flight attendants of the airline are also authorized to operate Boeing aircraft. It is known that, in order to maintain its leadership in the aviation market, it is necessary to ensure service quality that meets the highest standards, and therefore, without resting on its laurels, the company continues to actively develop.

The Airline "Kyrgyzstan" is currently recognized as the Best Air Carrier of the Kyrgyz Republic and has been awarded many prestigious prizes, and most importantly, the airline "Kyrgyzstan" has gained trust and recognition both within the republic and worldwide.
