Three climbers died while ascending Mount 'Lokomotiv' in Kazakhstan
As a result of the ascent to Mount 'Lokomotiv' in Kazakhstan, three climbers died, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Information was received by the emergency situations department from a woman who reported that her brother had gone to the mountains with two companions, after which contact with them was lost. The search involved 80 people, 12 units of equipment, as well as four dog teams and drones. The search operation was complicated by difficult weather conditions and a high risk of avalanches.

At an altitude of 3.7 kilometers, rescuers discovered the body of one of the climbers. Soon, two more deceased were found in the same area. Their bodies were brought down from the summit and handed over to police representatives. A forensic examination has been appointed to determine the causes of their deaths. Information about the nationality of the climbers has not been disclosed.

The search and rescue operation has been completed. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reminds of the importance of following safety rules when visiting mountainous areas. Before heading out on a hike, one should consider weather conditions, avalanche risks, avoid solo ascents, inform loved ones about the route and expected return time, and also carry communication devices and necessary equipment.
