Super Typhoon "Fung-Wong" has hit the Philippines, leading to significant evacuations and disruptions in transportation. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, over 916,863 people have already been moved to safe areas.

Winds at the center of the storm reach speeds of 185–230 km/h, and its impact is felt over a large part of the country. Heavy rains, gusty winds, and destructive waves have caused flooding and inundation of coastal roads, particularly in the Bicol region and on Catanduanes Island, which is closest to the storm's epicenter.

In Luzon, schools and government offices are closed, and around 300 flights have been canceled at Manila International Airport. Rescue services are operating at an increased capacity.

Mirra Daven, a representative of the search and rescue units, stated: "We cannot put our rescuers at risk. We do not want them to become the next victims."

The Philippines is still recovering from Typhoon "Kalmaegi," which claimed the lives of over 200 people, with 109 missing persons still unaccounted for. Experts warn that the consequences of the current typhoon could be equally severe.

Meteorologists link the increasing strength of typhoons to climate change, which contributes to the faster formation of cyclones, their prolonged presence over land, and significant damage.
