The Philippine media group ABS-CBN reports that the highest number of casualties — 76 people — is in the island province of Cebu, where the storm caused the most damage.

Most of the deaths occurred as a result of flooding, and another 26 people are considered missing.

The typhoon, known in the Philippines as "Tino," brought heavy rains and wind gusts of up to 184 km/h. Authorities managed to evacuate nearly 400,000 people from dangerous areas in the path of the typhoon. Philippine meteorologists warn of rising water levels in bays due to expected storm surges of 1–2 meters in the next 24 hours, while wave heights at sea may reach 3–4 meters. As noted by ABS-CBN, the Philippines faces about 20 typhoons of varying strength each year, and this year has already exceeded that number, with an expectation of three to five additional typhoons by the end of December.
