An incident occurred in Bishkek involving a man who fell into the frozen Ala-Archa River.
According to information from the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktyabrsky District, at 10:56 on January 18, 2026, a signal was received at emergency service 102 that a person had ended up in icy water at the corner of Maldybaev and Akhunbaev Streets.
This case has been recorded in the Unified Register of the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktyabrsky District of Bishkek, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.
It is known that the victim, born in 1969, I.K., was in a state of alcohol intoxication. All details of the incident are currently being clarified.
