According to the press secretary of the Internal Affairs Department, Nazgul Imankulova, a signal about the incident was received by the police at 9:02 AM. Initially, it was reported that two men had drowned in the Big Chui Canal on Auezov Street.
An investigative operational group from the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department was dispatched to the scene. During the investigation, it was determined that three men had drowned:
- Zh.C., born in 1988;
- Zh.T., born in 1966;
- Zh.Z., born in 1963.
The body of one of the deceased, a 37-year-old man, was found. The search for the other two continues.
The Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department reported that all necessary forensic examinations will be conducted regarding the incident. Details of the tragedy are currently being clarified.
