A resident of the capital reported to law enforcement that on September 23, 2025, she received a call via WhatsApp from unidentified individuals who introduced themselves as employees of various government agencies, including the State Committee for National Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Bank. As a result of their manipulations, the fraudsters forced her to transfer 988,233 soms.
This incident was registered as fraud under Article 209 of the Criminal Code.
Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek identified and detained the suspects: 24-year-old E.B. and 18-year-old D.S. Both were placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is currently ongoing.
