The search for the man began on February 12
In the Suusamyr Valley, rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations discovered the body of a shepherd who became a victim of a snow avalanche.
According to the agency, search operations were conducted from February 12, and the body of 59-year-old D.A. was found on February 18. He was extracted from under the snow.
About 70 people participated in the search efforts.
It should be noted that on February 12, an avalanche occurred on the pasture Boroonduu in the village of Kyzyl-Oy, located in the Suusamyr rural district of the Chui region, which buried not only the shepherd but also 50 sheep and a horse.
Since then, rescue operations have been conducted without interruption.
