In Naryn, the building of the art gallery was returned to state ownership by the decision of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As determined during the investigative actions, in 2000, the building, which was previously used as a city library on a land plot of 1350 square meters, was illegally transferred to the private ownership of a citizen "S.A.M.", after which a gallery building was constructed on that site.
As a result of the conducted measures, the citizen "S.A.M." agreed to return the object and transferred it to the balance of the Naryn Regional Historical and Ethnographic Museum named after "Kaken Mambetaliev".
