During the investigation, it was revealed that an organized criminal group operates in this area, consisting of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, which has been violating customs, tax, and border laws for a long time, engaging in the smuggling of consumer goods along the route Fergana — Chon-Kara — Kadamjay.

Citizens of Uzbekistan purchased rice in bulk on their territory, and then, following a pre-developed plan, supplied it to the Chon-Kara enclave through the Kadamjay district. The rice was then illegally exported from the enclave and unloaded at the home of a resident of Kyrgyzstan in the Ak-Turpak rural district, from where the goods were sold on the Kyrgyz market.
At the moment, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, M.N.A., has been detained, who is suspected of being involved in this case and is under investigation.
The GKNB continues active efforts to ensure food security and combat smuggling within the territory of the republic.
