The Grand Egyptian Museum has opened in Giza. It took over 20 years to build.
A solemn ceremony took place in the vicinity of Cairo to mark the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), as reported by Meduza.

This grand cultural project covers an area of 500,000 square meters, which is equivalent to approximately 70 football fields. Over two decades, the museum, located in the picturesque surroundings of the Giza pyramids, has collected around 100,000 exhibits, and the total construction cost exceeded 1.2 billion dollars.

We invite you to take a look at the new museum, which, according to Egyptian authorities, is expected to attract around five million visitors annually.
