A new hospital is planned to be built in Tokmok on the site of the old building, which was erected 86 years ago. This was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Minister Nurdana Oruntaev, during a working visit to the Chui region, along with Tokmok Mayor Altynbek Ergeshov, visited several construction sites in the city to familiarize himself with their condition.

During the trip, the minister inspected the old hospital building located at 27 Dunlarova Street. Construction of a new, modern medical facility will begin on the site of the current outdated building. The demolition work of the old hospital, built in 1939, has already started, and the project for the new hospital is ready.

The area of the new infectious disease department will be 892.4 square meters, while the reception area will be 160 square meters.

The project provides for the creation of two blocks, which will be equipped with all the necessary modern conditions for the work of doctors and the comfortable stay of patients.

"The current hospital building was built 86 years ago, and the infectious disease department and tuberculosis dispensary buildings were erected in 1965," the press release states.
