Specialists are laying underground cable lines that will provide electricity to the new streetlights. At present, the assembly of these lighting structures is being carried out on-site, and after the assembly is completed, they will be installed using special equipment.
The road markings have already been applied in most areas, and new pedestrian crossings have appeared near the Southern Highway. Guiding arrows and markings for vehicles have also been added. The section above the underground passage remains unmarked, where preparations for asphalt laying are currently ongoing. Workers report that asphalting there will begin tomorrow, November 22.
Additionally, work continues on the entrance to the underground passage; the stairs are not yet ready. According to the workers, the pedestrian crossing will be completed after traffic is opened on the avenue.
On the sidewalks on the west side of the avenue, work is also ongoing: the area remains dug up and is in the process of landscaping.
It is expected that traffic on the updated section will be opened by the end of November. Soon, a CSTO summit will take place in Bishkek with the participation of leaders from various countries, so Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue, which is an important government route, will serve for the movement of high-ranking officials and foreign delegations.
