The Bishkek mayor's office commented on the situation regarding support for families affected by the recent fire.
In response to media reports that the victims were left without assistance, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev met with residents who suffered as a result of the incident on Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue.
Under his direction, emergency assistance was organized: all affected individuals were accommodated in a temporary shelter, where they were provided with necessary living conditions.
Additionally, as a result of the meeting with the victims, it was decided to provide financial support: 22 families received 50,000 soms each from the mayor's reserve fund.
"Compensation for lost apartments will be carried out in accordance with current legislation and through state insurance mechanisms. Of all the affected, only five apartments were insured, and only their owners will be able to receive compensation according to established norms," the mayor's office reported.
Also, Deputy Mayor Viktoriya Mozgacheva and the head of the Pervomaisky District, Sarylbek uulu Ulan, conducted explanatory work with residents regarding further accommodation, receiving assistance, and interaction with government bodies.
Currently, various options for additional support for the affected families are being considered. Issues related to accommodation and additional measures of assistance, as well as interaction with government structures, including the State Mortgage Company, will be addressed in the established manner.
