The Open Joint Stock Company "Kyrgyz Agroholding" has begun the implementation of a project related to the creation of an agro-industrial complex for fattening 10,000 head of cattle, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“The project includes the construction of a modern fattening complex on a land plot of 25 hectares, where open feedlot technology will be used. International standards and best practices adapted to the conditions of our country will be applied during the project implementation, with an emphasis on economic feasibility, environmental sustainability, and social aspects,” the official statement said.
The ministry noted that the first tender for 3,500,000 soms was canceled due to a lack of documents from participants that met the technical requirements. A repeated tender announced for 1,500,000 soms also did not attract interest from any participants.
“To avoid delays in the project implementation, the tender commission decided to use the method of direct contract conclusion in accordance with the current regulations. The contract was signed with the individual entrepreneur 'Aliyeva O.',” the agency clarified.
It was also reported that experts have arrived in Kyrgyzstan again to develop project and estimate documentation, as well as to provide consulting assistance for repurposing the 'Elita' branch into an open-type fattening complex for 500 head of cattle.
