The lack of transportation is becoming a serious problem for the residents
Public representatives of Bishkek have appealed to the mayor's office with a request to improve the operation of buses that run along Yunusalieva Street and head to the city center from the neighborhoods. They contacted Vesti.kg, hoping that the authorities would take their opinion into account.
“On the section below Akhunbaev Street, from the Orto-Sai market to the center, there are only two buses: No. 77 and No. 112. Their interval is 20-25 minutes. Previously, there was route No. 226, but it was moved to Zhukeeva-Pudovkina Street. During the morning hours, when people rush to work and school, there are only two routes available towards the center. Passengers literally storm the stops. People are late, and children on the buses cry from the crowding,” residents share.
At the same time, it is observed that buses heading towards Tunguch (along Gorky Street) often run half-empty.
“We urge the mayor's office to plan bus routes more sensibly, taking into account the needs of the residents,” they add.
