In its social media, the magazine noted: "2025 has become the time when the full potential of artificial intelligence was realized, and it became clear that there is no turning back. For making the era of intelligent machines a reality; for the impact it has had on and the concerns it has raised for humanity; for changes in the present and the expansion of the boundaries of what is possible, Time chooses the architects of artificial intelligence as Person of the Year."
The cover of the new issue of the magazine features personalities such as Mark Zuckerberg, head of Meta, Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, Elon Musk, leading xAI, SpaceX, and Tesla, Jensen Huang from Nvidia, Sam Altman, head of OpenAI, Demis Hassabis from DeepMind, Dario Amodei from Anthropic, and Fei-Fei Li, founder of ImageNet.
All of them are captured on a steel beam, referencing the famous photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper," taken in 1932.
As a reminder, the previous year's Person of the Year was Donald Trump.
