Kyrgyzstan has become one of the few countries capable of independently developing and supporting artificial intelligence technologies.
A digital AI avatar has been created in the country, which operates in the Kyrgyz language and features animation and synchronized speech. The project, named AIRUN, was presented by the development team working in the High Technology Park.
Now Kyrgyzstan has joined the ranks of countries capable of independently advancing AI technologies.
Key elements of the AI stack
The developers of AIRUN presented three main components of modern artificial intelligence in the Kyrgyz language:
- large language model (LLM);
- multilingual voice assistant (ASR + TTS);
- digital AI avatar with animation.
Chingiz Arziev, CEO of the AIRUN project, noted: “This is the foundation for a future where the Kyrgyz language will sound, develop, and compete on par with other languages.”
Creating a video with the digital avatar allows for a complete clip to be produced in just 30 seconds, comparable to international models such as Synthesia, Visper, and Creatify.
To prepare a video, the user needs to:
- upload their photo;
- write text in Kyrgyz or voice it in their own voice.
The system automatically synchronizes facial expressions, articulation, intonation, and lip movement, turning a static image into a living character.
Working with the system is done directly through a browser on mobile devices and personal computers, without the need for additional equipment. The free version allows for the creation of videos up to 20 seconds long.
