In September of last year, as part of its "Digital Technologies First" strategy, Mongolia presented the National Strategy for Big Data and Artificial Intelligence at a Cabinet meeting. This became known through information from the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Communications.
Over the next five years, it is planned to implement 66 different projects and initiatives aimed at achieving four strategic goals outlined in the policy. The second of these focuses on creating an "ethical and responsible artificial intelligence ecosystem based on a strong public-private partnership."
To achieve this goal, Mongolia began collaboration with Oracle's Digital Skills Initiative, marking an important step in partnering with one of the world's leading technology companies.
This collaboration will provide over 60,000 public sector employees, including teachers, doctors, and other civil servants, as well as citizens of the country, with free access to advanced training programs and digital platforms offered through Oracle Academy and Oracle University.
The initiative will allow young people to acquire valuable skills in data and artificial intelligence, as well as enhance their competitiveness in areas such as data management, information security, and information technology, which in turn will improve their readiness for modern labor conditions. It will also contribute to increasing digital literacy among the broader population.
This initiative represents an important step towards digital progress and technological transformation in Mongolia, ensuring sustainable and long-term collaboration with a global technology leader.
