During a working visit to the Batken region, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev, visited the village of Dostuk.

According to the state committee, he inspected the condition of the new residential houses built with state budget funds and familiarized himself with the results of the construction work.

During his visit, Tashiev met with local residents, listened to their opinions on the social situation, daily life, and infrastructure problems. Instructions were given to the heads of the relevant authorities on all raised issues, emphasizing the need for prompt resolution of some of them.

A land plot of 57 hectares was allocated for the new village of Dostuk in the Batken district. Here, 181 modern residential houses were built, and residents have now fully relocated to the new apartments and continue their lives.

It should be noted that during the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, some residential houses of citizens ended up on territories subject to exchange. "The state has justly resolved this issue by allocating 10 hundredths of land to each affected person and fully constructing new houses that meet all standards at the expense of the republican budget," the press release states.
