Relatives of the boy who became a victim of a medical error at the Kara-Sui hospital contacted the Call Center. According to them, for eight days, doctors treated him for a suspected intestinal infection without conducting necessary examinations, such as an ultrasound and tests. Despite the mother's persistent requests for an appendicitis check, several doctors dismissed the disease "by sight."

The family reported: "This led to gangrenous peritonitis, an emergency operation, and then two more repeated interventions due to an abscess. The child spent one and a half months in the hospital and three months in outpatient rehabilitation. He was on the brink of life and death due to undiagnosed appendicitis."

Relatives also published a post about the incident on Instagram.

As of now, the child is doing well, according to his relatives. However, they insist that this case be made known to a wider audience, seeking justice. They claim that the incident at the hospital ended only with a formal reprimand, and the results of the police inquiry were insignificant.

Relatives indicated that a statement about the incident was submitted to the investigative authorities on September 23, 2025, through the prosecutor's office of the Osh region, but despite three months having passed, an examination has still not been appointed. A full investigation is not being conducted, and the first interrogation of the victims only took place on December 12, after numerous requests for the initiation of investigative actions. "It seems like just a formality," they added.

Statements sent through the "Tunduk" system to the Ministry of Health and the Health Coordination Center of the Osh region, according to them, went unanswered.

The boy's mother also published a video appeal on Instagram.

The editorial team of Kaktus.media reached out for a comment from the press service of the Osh region's Internal Affairs Department.

In response to the inquiry, they stated: "A statement was received at the Internal Affairs Department of the Kara-Sui district from citizen R. A. regarding the improper provision of medical assistance to the minor K. N., born in 2020. This fact has been registered, and preliminary investigative measures have begun."

According to the service's information, a forensic medical examination has been appointed for the boy, medical documentation has been seized, and the identities of the doctors involved in the treatment have also been established.

"Based on the results of the forensic medical examination, a legal assessment will be provided. Currently, investigative measures are ongoing," the press service added.

At the time of writing, the Ministry of Health has not yet commented on the situation.
