According to the information from the ministry, 856 million 548.7 thousand soms will be allocated from the state budget for the printing of textbooks by 2025.
Over the past eight years, 3 million 742.5 thousand books have been published, while in 2025, the release of 4 million 84.9 thousand educational and methodological complexes is expected, which is 9.1% more. The ministry has developed a detailed phased plan for updating textbooks across all subjects in accordance with the 12-year education model.
It is important to note that in the 2025/26 academic year, students in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades will begin studying under the new 12-year program. New textbooks have been prepared for these grades.
Nevertheless, at the beginning of the academic year, parents are still burdened with the necessity of purchasing textbooks at their own expense.
